Ordering
What curtain heading type should I choose?
Well, it depends!
If you are looking for a robust heading, we typically recommend an eyelet curtain as the eyelets are metal and punched into the heading.
If you’re looking for the most cost effective heading, we’d recommend choosing a pencil pleat heading. It is possible to reduce the fullness of the curtain, which will use less fabric. 2x fullness is optimum, but you can use as little as 1.5x fullness to reduce costs if needed. You can read more about fullness in our blog here.
For a premium look, you could choose a beautiful twin or triple pinch pleat curtain heading.
Check out our blog for more information about different heading types, or you can contact us for personalised advice for your project.
What special properties can my curtains and blinds have?
We offer a completely bespoke service. You can choose whether you need blackout, dimout, or thermal curtains or blinds.
All our curtains and blinds use fire retardant fabric that complies with BS 5867.
Get in touch with our team to find out more.
Can I order sample fabrics?
Yes! You can order as many samples as you require.
Get in touch with our team and they can arrange the samples for you.
How do I know which curtain measurements I need to give?
For information on what curtain measurements you need to give, head to the resources page where you will find a guide to measuring.
If you have a larger project in mind, you can book your free site survey and one of our team will come out to you and take measurements.
What other soft furnishings can I order?
In addition to your bespoke curtains and blinds, we can also make matching or complementary curtain tiebacks, cushions and bed runners.
When you speak to our team, simply explain that you’re interested in also ordering some matching or complementary soft furnishings and we can run through the options with you.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Usually, payment for your made-to-measure curtains is made upfront. Some customers prefer to set up an account with us, and we ask for at least 50% payment when the order is placed.

How quickly will my soft furnishings be made?
All our soft furnishings are made to order. Our lead time is generally around 3 – 4 weeks.
If you have specific requirements or an urgent project, please contact us and we’ll do what we can to accommodate you.
What areas do your deliveries cover?
We supply the whole of the United Kingdom.
How long does an installation take?
If you’ve paid for curtain or blind installation, rest assured, we always provide respectful, low disruption installations.
The time an installation takes depends on the number of windows, the location of the windows, and the nature of window dressing being installed.
For example, a room with multiple curtains with tracks and pelmets would take longer than a simple, single roller blind.
As you’d expect, installation at an empty site is quicker than a live site.
When you’ve placed your order we will be in touch to arrange fitting at a time that is convenient to you. We can also give you an idea of how long the installation will take.
How do I care for my curtains and blinds?

Yes! We supply spare parts including hooks, tracks and poles. Get in touch with us on 0800 619 6190 or [email protected] and let us know what you need.

Our curtains and blinds are very robust. However, if something has happened to the curtains or blinds that we have installed, we may be able to repair them for you. Please contact us on [email protected] with a photo of the damage so we can quote for a repair.
Unfortunately, we can’t repair curtains or blinds that have been installed by or sourced from another company as we are only able to guarantee Bridge quality on original Bridge products.
