The Chocolate Works Care Village is housed in the former headquarters of the world-renowned Terry’s of York chocolate factory.
We were delighted to be involved on this award winning project. Working with the architects and interior designers, we manufactured and installed all the curtains, blinds and soft furnishings throughout the retirement village of 82 suites and communal areas.
The design philosophy was to create a unique, pioneering and stimulating village with compassionate care at its heart. The building needed to facilitate the provision of safe care above everything whilst maintaining quality of life for residents, within a homely environment. Having achieved all of this, the project was named Best Care Village at the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.
